How to cause pressure drop and why to change air-oil separator filter?

Particles in the compressed air intercepted by the media and detained on the media result in the increase of pressure drop. The separator needs to be replaced when the pressure drop is reached during 0.08-0.1Mpa, otherwise the compressor machine will work at higher power cost.
