Description
Cooper stave are made of non-oxygen cooper plates and applied special deep-hole drilling and automatic welding. Cooper staves have the advantages such as low thermal resistance, low work temperature, high heat load and low thermal loss. It provides reliable basis for realizing the goal of 15-20year working life of blast furnace by forming “non overheating cooling system”.

一.Special Cooling Channels
We develop flexible holes type stave with our own intellectual property rights. In comparison with the cooling channels with round holes, the cooling channels with flexible holes have two advantages:
1. Greater heat-transfer capability and less consumption of cooling water;
2. Reduction of stave-body thickness and decrease of purchase cost.

一.Unique Deep-hole Drilling
Special deep-hole drilling process and equipment are adopted. The processing length of the drilling hole is up to 4.2m. This method avoids the appearance of the mismatch of the cooling channels in the course of drilling from two ends, and saves welding at one end of the tapping pin(plug). The tolerance of centerline is≤±1mm/m.

一.Advanced Welding Technology
Electric heating automatic inert gas protective welding process is adopted. DIN(EN) standard is introduced for the quality control and inspection of the welding process.

一.Multi-series and multi-specifications of our products can meet requirements of installation of different blast furnaces.
1. Cooper stave with integral ledge includes 3 patented products, which are cooper stave with ledge on cold face, cooper stave with ledge on hot face and cooper stave with integral various ledges. Ledges on cold or hot face can smooth the connection of the hot faces between cooper stave’s and neighbor cast iron stave’s. This helps to keep reasonable melting furnace shape of blast furnace and prevent gas from over flowing.
2. Multilayer cooper stave applied composite structure of multilayer stave and base-layer stave. Multilayer stave is an ultrathin cooper stave and base-layer stave is a cast iron or steel stave. Independent cooling channels are set in each layer. This cooper stave not only maintain the cooling performance and mechanical strength, but also saves cooper consumption by 60%.
3. Cooper stave with piping reinforce structure is the one with ledges on inlet and outlet pipes of both ends. Inlet and outlet pipes connect with inside wall of the cooling channel entrance by thread. This perfects the force bearing structure to improve the welding joint quality and strength, and largely reduces cooper material.
4. Cooper stave with unilateral 4 cooling channels and double inlet& outlet pipes are suitable for overall repairing on site and can substitute cast iron staves in bosh, belly, middle and low areas of stack of blast furnace without changing position of the opening hole and dimension of original furnace shell.
