Introduction

Carbon Electrode Paste,as self-baking electrode,is widely used in submerged arc furnaces for delivering power

 to the hearth,where raw materials will be smelted and mixed with each other.

Electrode Paste,either in cylinder or briquette shape,all will be added to the 

furnace at the top of electrode column.As the paste moves down along the

 electrode column,the increased temperature will make the paste melt and 

subsequently bake to be a block of electrically conductive carbon electrode

 for industrial production. Electrode Paste is essentially a mix of Electrically

 Calcined Anthracite (ECA),Calcined Petroleum Coke (CPC) and Artificial 

Graphite with Coal Tar Pitch as a binder.
