PRICINPLE OF OPERATION
JOYS663 is specifically designed for a number of residential applications, using the proven ultrasonic measurement technology which features high accuracy, no maintenance and stable measurement. The flow rate is measured by the ultrasonic flight-time principle, where two transducers alternatively transmit ultrasonic signals in and against the direction of flow. From the difference between the measured propagation times, the flow rate can precisely be calculated.

EMC CONDITIONS
JOYS663 produced by JOY has been designed according to EN 14154 (corresponding to Electromagnetic environment with Class E1 of the Measuring Instruments Directive) and can be installed in domestic environments. All control cables must be drawn separately and not parallel to power cables or other cables with the risk of inducing electromagnetic interference. There must be a distance of minimum 25 cm between signal cables and other installations.

COMMUNICATION
JOYS663, the new generation of JOY’s remote reading metering solution includes data communication ports. The optical port on the calculator front enables to read for consumption data and data logger as well as serial PC connection for configuration of the water meter.
Ultrasonic water meter is available with communication modules for Optical, wired M-bus and Analog output etc.

BATTERY
JOYS663 can be fitted with battery of one ER18505 (6 years) or two ER17505 (11 years) or one ER26500 (15 years)
